    Where is this in Fallston? I'm surprised that I've never come across it before. What is the history? It appears to be an old defense tower, used for spotting planes during war? (Or at least modified for such?)

    Found it. Funny that, I've driven near there several times without noticing it.

    Any idea of the history of this structure? Googling for it was almost completely useless.

    I don't know a thing about it. My guess is that it's a "folly." And a fun one at that. There isn't much in the way of art, or even whimsy, in Fallston (or HarCo), so it's a welcome addition to the area.
