Anderson named Maryland Preserve America History Teacher of the Year


(Towson Times) On the living room wall of Joseph Anderson's home is a collection of old black and white photographs.
One portrays Eric Stover, a Civil War soldier who was Anderson's great-great-grandfather. Another is the face of Anderson's great-grandfather, Nicholas Yuschak, who died in a Pennsylvania mining accident in 1930.
"Teaching history is looking at the faces of the past," Anderson said. "If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here and their lives mean something." Continued
