Old Monkton Hotel to be auctioned


(North County News) - The former Monkton Hotel, which dates to the late 1800s and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is going on the auction block.
The three-story, brick building stands on about 1 acre north of Monkton Road near the Torrey C. Brown Trail, popular with bicyclists and walkers, and the Gunpowder Falls, a lure for trout fishermen and tubers. It is included on the county’s Final Landmarks List, as well as on the National Register. Continued
