Museum buys teakettle from New Oxford dealer


(YDR) - A national museum has added an antique illustrating an idea of early American foreign policy to its collection after acquiring the object from a New Oxford dealer.
The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., recently bought a miniature copper teakettle from Kelly Kinzle, an antique dealer in business at Center Square Antiques, 9 Center Square in New Oxford.
The teakettle is inscribed with phrases and Masonic symbols and is believed to have been created between 1807 and 1809 in Baltimore, according to the Smithsonian. Continued
